Fishermans CottageHoliday Cottage on Holy Island, NorthumberlandHoly Island is the perfect holiday destination for walkers, nature lovers, photographers and artists; it is a wildlife haven, home to numerous rare birds and regularly boasts visits from the grey seals resident on the nearby Farne Islands.
The Island, also known as Lindisfarne, is shut off from the mainland twice a day with the tides - making it the perfect place to get away from it all and relax in a unique and peaceful environment.
The cottage is situated in a central, but secluded aspect of the village, within a short walking distance of Lindisfarne Castle, the sandy beaches, harbour and stunning views. It provides a perfect base for exploring the island and an ideal spot in which to relax and escape.
This former fishing cottage has been sympathetically renovated to provide luxury accommodation for two people. The shower/wet room, kitchen and living areas make up the ground floor accommodation, with inglenook fireplace, stove and flat screen TV. A beautifully formed oak staircase leads up to the spacious open plan bedroom, where the expanse of glass provides an abundance of light and views across the village. There is a double bed, double futon to allow for extra guests and TV.
Outside, there is a small, but attractive and well maintained garden with seating and parking is easily accessible within close proximity to the cottage.
